Nancy Drew: The Haunted Carousel is an entertaining mystery solving game.
You will guide Nancy Drew, who has been invited to investigate some strange episodes that have taken place in Captain’s Cove Amusement Park, in the Jersey shore. Someone has stolen a carved horse from its carousel, and then the roller coaster suddenly stopped, causing a serious accident. To make things worse, the carousel starts up in the middle of the night. All that forced Paula Santos, the owner of the park, to shut it down.
You will have to talk to the remaining employees in the closed-down park. They will give you clues and provide you with items that you will need to further investigate. Sometimes you will have to solve little puzzles and perform little tasks to be able to go on with your work. For example, you will have to fix a broken card reader, by soldering a resistor to the circuit board. You will be able to talk to some people through your cell phone, as they will sometimes call you. In every conversation, you can pick your answer from a list. Each answer will have a different effect on the people you are talking to, and that will change the course of the investigation.
